Panthers shake off first loss of the day to beat Agnes Scott 3-0 in the second game.

Maryville match

The Scots got off to a fast start in the first set, going up 9-3 fast. Maryville seemed to have all the answers on their way to winning 25-11. The Panthers kept in close in the second match, even tying it a 9-9. LC kept it close but the Scots were too much to handle. Maryville won the second set 25-16. The third set was very similar to the second. The Panthers kept the match close and was even leading 13-12. LC kept fighting and trading points with the visiting Scots, and the 21-18 Panther lead forced a Maryville timeout to try to stop the LC run. The Panthers kept fighting but the Scots were able to kick it into another gear and take the 27-25 win

Agnes Scott Match

Despite losing the first game, the Panthers came out playing hard to avenge their loss to Agnes Scott earlier in the year (Oct. 7). In the first set, the Panthers took advantage of Agnes Scott's errors and won 25-17. They continued to use great on-court communication and played together in the second set. Even though they were down 17-14 at one point, the Panthers fought back to win 25-22. The third set was also a tight game. Agnes Scott was up 18-17 when the Panthers took a timeout. LC went on a run to win the game 25-19. The Panthers won the game 3-0.

Next match
