BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The LaGrange volleyball team dropped its first two matches of the 2019 season Friday at the McAttack Bash. The Panthers (0-2) lost 3-0 (19-25, 21-25, 15-25) to St. Catherine (Minn.) in the first match of the day. Rhodes took a hard-fought 3-1 (15-25, 25-23, 20-25, 28-26) win in the final match of the day.

Match Notes:

• LC led 9-2 in the first set of the St. Catherine match, but the Wildcats answered with a 13-5 run to take the lead for good.
• Panthers held St. Catherine to .133 hitting percentage in second set.
• In second set against Rhodes, the Panthers scored three of the final four points to win 25-23. Rhodes had .023 hitting percentage in set.
• Panthers served for the set three times in fourth set against Rhodes.
