LaGrange dropped USA South matches to Covenant and Piedmont by 3-1 scores Saturday at Richter Gym. The Panthers are now 7-5 overall and 1-2 in conference matches.

In the first match of the day, Covenant took the match by scores of 25-12, 21-25, 25-19, and 25-19. Maggie Ivester and Mimi Loftus each had six kills for LC. Lauren Sanders and Libby Compton combined for 37 assists, with Sanders leading the way with 21. Mandie Beatty had a match-high 25 digs.

The Panthers took the first set against Piedmont 25-18. But the Lady Lions won the next three sets 25-19, 25-23, and 25-22 to take the match. Emily Arnold had a match-high 14 kills for the Panthers. Maggie Ivester had a double-double of 12 kills and digs each. Sanders had a match-high 21 assists, while Beatty led LC with 14 digs.

The Panthers play at Agnes Scott on Thursday in a USA South match.
