LaGrange opened its conference schedule with a pair of wins at the USA South Quad Match in Richter Gym on Saturday. The Panthers (12-4, 2-0 USA South) swept Mary Baldwin 25-21, 25-14, 25-12, then beat Ferrum 25-17, 25-17, 25-19.

Junior Maggie Ivester had a team-leading 28 kills in the two matches. Freshman Samantha James had 12 kills against Ferrum. Laurens Sanders had 40 assists, while Libby Compton added 37. Sophomore Lexi Hall had a team-high 13 digs against Ferrum.

The Panthers host another USA South Quad Match on Sunday. They face N.C. Wesleyan at 10 a.m. and Meredith at 4 p.m.
