MEMPHIS, Tenn. - LaGrange defeated Sewanee 3-1 during the Blues City Invite hosted by Rhodes College on Friday and Saturday. The Panthers (5-4) finished 1-3 in the tournament.

The Panthers downed Sewanee on Friday by scores of 25-22, 25-14, 20-25, 25-23. They had lost earlier in the day to Birmingham-Southern, 3-0. Maggie Ivester had a double-double of 14 kills and digs each in the win over Sewanee. 

The Panthers lost to tournament host Rhodes 3-0 and Millsaps 3-1 on Saturday. Ivester led the Panthers with 33 kills, Saunders finished with 87 assists, and Lexi Hall had 42 digs.

The Panthers play at Wesleyan on Wednesday.
