Visting Sewanee spoiled LaGrange's 2016 season opener with a 4-1 win over the Panthers on Thursday.

Sophomore Brandon Burrell scored the Panthers' goal in the second half. Sewanee led 2-0 at halftime and 3-0 when Burrell got the Panthers on the board.

Sophomores Cory Aycock and Bonner Brooks each played a half for the Panthers. Both teams had five shots on goal and five corner kicks apiece.

The Panthers play at Guilford on Monday.
