Volleyball: Panthers sweep Wesleyan in non-conference match

MACON, Ga. - LaGrange swept Wesleyan 3-0 in a non-conference match Thursday in Porter Gymnasium. The Panthers' second win of the season over the Wolves improved their record to 14-15.

The Panthers took the match by scores of 25-11, 25-18, and 25-22. Maggie Ivester led a balanced scoring attack with seven kills. Danyelle Carr, Katie Chancellor and Madison Grapp each had six kills.

Mary Katherine Schmitz had 15 assists and Sarah Gore 13. Gore had a team-best six service aces as the Panthers finished the match with 13. Sterling Ancrum led the team with 10 digs.

The Panthers play Mary Baldwin and Greensboro in USA South matches Saturday in Greensboro, N.C.
