DEMOREST, Ga. - LaGrange opened its 2013 USA South schedule Saturday with matches against Huntingdon and Piedmont. The Panthers are 6-8 overall and 1-1 in the South Division of the conference after splitting the two matches.

The Panthers swept Huntingdon 3-0 by scores of 25-13, 25-22 and 25-18. It was the second win of the season over the Lady Hawks. The Panthers opened the season with a 3-0 win in Huntingdon's Volleyball Jubilee.

Freshman Megan Lee tied for match honors with seven kills and added 12 digs. Ella Weymiller led the Panthers with 14 digs. 

Sydney Marshall followed Lee with five kills. Sterling Ancrum had 13 digs and Mary Katherine Schmitz had a match-high 15 assists.

Piedmont took a 3-0 win over the Panthers in the second match of the day. Weymiller had 18 digs, while Hayley LaFontaine had four kills.

The Panthers host a USA South quad match on Saturday, Sept. 28 in the Richter Gymnasium. The Panthers will face Maryville at 10 a.m. and Covenant at 4 p.m.
