FERRUM, Va. - LaGrange split a pair of USA South matches Saturday at Ferrum College. The Panthers are now 9-16 overall and 3-8 in conference play.

The Panthers bounced back from a 3-1 loss to Averett in their first match of the day, to beat Ferrum by the same 3-1 score.

Katie Chancellor tied for match honors with 12 kills against Ferrum. Mary Katherine Schmitz had a double-double of 27 assists and 10 digs. Ella Weymiller led the team with 13 digs.

Hayley LaFontaine led the Panthers with eight kills in the Averett match. Schmitz had 22 assists, while Weymiller added 10 digs.

The Panthers host Greensboro and Mary Baldwin in USA South matches next Saturday at Richter Gym.
