MONTGOMERY, Ala. - LaGrange fell to Methodist and Meredith in USA South matches Saturday at Huntingdon College. The Panthers are 8-14 overall and 2-6 in conference play.

In the first match of the day, Meredith outlasted the Panthers 25-17, 25-18 and 25-19. Katie Chancellor had a team-best eight kills, while Hayley LaFontaine and Sydney Marshall each had seven. Delaney James had a match-high 19 assists.

The Panthers won the first set against Methodist 25-18, but the Monarchs took the next three by scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-13 to take the match.

LaFontaine, Marshall and Sterling Ancrum all had eight kills in the match. Ella Weymiller had a match-high 23 digs.

The Panthers host Piedmont on Tuesday in a USA South match beginning at 6 p.m.
