TOCCOA FALLS, Ga. - LaGrange College came back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Toccoa Falls College 3-2 on Tuesday. The win was the third straight five-set victory and fifth straight overall for the Panthers (12-9).

Toccoa Falls took the first two sets by scores of 25-23 and 25-16. The Panthers came back to tie the match with wins of 25-21 and 25-18 in the third and fourth sets. The Panthers won the deciding fifth match 15-9.

The Panthers became the first team in the program's history to win three straight five-set matches. The Panthers were the first team since 1994 to play in three straight five-set matches. The 1994 team lost all three matches. The Panthers are 4-1 in five-set matches this season.

The Panthers' five-match win streak is the longest since the 2004 season. The Panthers need two more wins this season to equal the total number the past two seasons.

The Panthers were led by freshmen Ashley Corona and Nicole Wilson. Corona had a team-high 18 kills in the match. Wilson added 15 kills and her .636 attack percentage was a team-best for the season. Katie Covington had her third straight double-double and 10th of the season, finishing with 13 kills and 14 digs. Covington recorded her 500th career dig in the match.

Erin McKinstry recorded the most assists in a match by a Panther since the 2002 season. McKinstry had a career-high 56 assists in the match, eclipsing Kristina Rosenow's mark of 55 set against Southern Virginia on Nov. 1, 2002.

Crystal Colvin had a season-high 30 digs in the match. She moved up to ninth on the school's career dig list with 1,196.

The Panthers set a season-high with 65 kills in the match. They had their second-highest attack percentage, finishing at .289.
