Steve Kenner has been the head coach of the LaGrange College women's basketball program since the 2025-2026 season.

The 2025-2026 season saw the Panthers enjoy their best year ever, as LaGrange won their first-ever Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Championship, reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. Senior Laila Battle earned CCS Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors and was joined by teammates Amanda Mclendon and Adazha Burrell on the All-CSS Team. Kenner himself was voted CCS Coach of the Year for his outstanding leadership in just his first season with the program.

Kenner is no stranger to the world of collegiate basketball, having served in 12 different coaching roles from 1999-2023 in DI, DII and DIII. His experience is highlighted by head coaching stints at Emory & Henry College (2009-11), Southeastern Illinois College (2017-19), Pratt Community College (2020-21) and most recently at Auburn University at Montgomery (2021-23).  

"I look forward to continue developing the students' mindset on the court," Kenner said. "My goal is to cultivate a healthy, positive environment that fosters personal growth and a strong connection with the community while ensuring a meaningful experience for our student-athletes during their time here at LaGrange College." 

Former LC Football head coach and current Interim Athletic Director, Steve Pardue, expressed his confidence in the team and Kenner. "We are very excited to have someone with Kenner's experience lead our basketball program," he said. "Without a doubt, I think he will do a great job."
