Clayton Swint joined the LaGrange College football coaching staff in July of 2026 as the Panthers' Defensive Line Coach.
Swint brings a diverse coaching background at both the collegiate and high school levels. Prior to joining LaGrange, he spent the past several years coaching in the Georgia high school ranks while serving as a physical education teacher in both the Clayton County and Paulding County School Systems.
During his time in high school football, Swint served in a variety of roles, including Defensive Coordinator, Strength and Conditioning Coach, Defensive Line Coach, Pass Game Coordinator, Assistant Track Coach, and Assistant Wrestling Coach. His experience developing student-athletes both in the classroom and on the field has helped build disciplined, fundamentally sound football players.
Before transitioning to the high school level, Swint worked at the University of West Georgia as the Nickels Coach and Equipment Manager. In that role, he coached the outside linebackers, assisted with recruiting in Georgia and Alabama, managed football operations data, and worked extensively with XOS and HUDL software. He also gained collegiate coaching experience at Ithaca College and Berry College.
Swint is known for his energetic coaching style, emphasis on player development, and commitment to building strong relationships with his student-athletes. His passion for teaching fundamentals and developing the defensive front makes him a valuable addition to the Panthers coaching staff.
