As a freshman: Earned USA South Academic All-Conference honors... Led team with 16 appearances... Had 1-0 record with 1.50 ERA and tied for team lead with two saves... Did not allow an earned run in his first nine appearances, a total of 20-2/3 innings... Pitched 2-1/3 scoreless innings to get win in first game of USA South doubleheader at Averett on March 15... Pitched four scoreless innings to get first save against Bates on Feb. 20... Got second save at Huntingdon on March 2 with two scoreless innings...
