LAGRANGE, Ga. – After just his first collegiate game, freshman running back Bakari Hamilton (Peachtree City, Ga.) of the LaGrange College football team has been named the USA South Athletic Conference Offensive Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 5, 2026.

Hamilton impressed during the Panthers' 31-7 win over the Skyhawks of Point University, rushing for 58 yards off nine carries and catching a pass for seven yards more.

LaGrange is back on the field on Saturday when they travel to Berry College for a 6:00 p.m. game in a rematch of last season's NCAA Second Round matchup, that ending in a heart-breaking 18-14 last-second loss for the Panthers to conclude their 2025 year.
