LAGRANGE, Ga. – Sophomore goalkeeper
Braeden Hayes (St. Augustine, Fla.) of the LaGrange College men's soccer has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 15, 2026 in an announcement by the CCS on Tuesday.
Hayes earned the first shutout of his collegiate career in LaGrange's win at Huntingdon, making five saves to preserve the clean sheet. He totaled 13 saves across 180 minutes for the week and posted a .765 save percentage as the Panthers finished 1-1.
At press time, Hayes ranked second in the conference in total saves and had the Panthers off to a 3-1 start to their season.
LaGrange is back on the field on Saturday when they play host to Berry College in a 1:00 p.m. match.
