Cross Country Opens Season at Dalton State

DALTON, Ga. – The LaGrange College men's and women's cross-country teams competed at the Saturday Night Lights meet hosted by Dalton State College at Grovel Level Park in Dalton, Georgia, on Saturday.

TOP PERFORMERS

The Panther men came in 6^th place in the men's 8k, led by freshman Alex Ramos Hernandez (Woodburn, Ore.), who finished in 35^th place with a time of 32:30.3 in his first collegiate competition.
Freshman Paul Wilson (Douglasville, Ga.) came in 38^th with a time of 33:46.5.
Freshman Navey Johnson (Ludowici, Ga.) was just behind Wilson with a time of 33:59.6, followed by freshman Justice Nixon (Columbus, Ga.) (34:13.1), sophomore Alan Vidrio Buen Rostro (Lawrenceville, Ga.) (34:16.3) and freshman Trevor Kutcher (Ludowici, Ga.) (34:25.4).
Freshman Laila Martin (LaGrange, Ga.) led the Panther women, coming in with a time of 27:29.4 in her first competition for 24^th place in the women's 6K.
Sophomore Khristian Bell (Tyrone, Ga.) clocked a time of 35:03.0, coming in 59^th.
Freshman Miracle Davis (Atlanta, Ga.) was 64^th in her first collegiate event, placing a time of 36:41.3.
Freshman Mackenzie Tate (New Orleans, Lou.) clocked a time of 39:17.8, finishing 69^th.

LaGrange is back on the field on Friday when they travel to the University of North Georgia Invitational.
