LAGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College men's soccer team cruised to a 6-0 victory over visiting Mississippi University for Women in non-conference action on Tuesday at Panther Field in LaGrange, Georgia. Sophomore midfielder
Jacob Sagstuen (Dacula, Ga.) led the charge with a hat-trick as LC opened the season undefeated.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Panthers opened up the scoring early when Sagstuen buried his first of the game and season in the fourth minute to put his team up 1-0.
- Junior forward Connor DePriest (Newnan, Ga.) netted his first of the 2026 campaign in the 22nd minute to double the Red and Black's lead, as they enjoyed a 2-0 advantage at the half.
- The second half was all-LC as Sagstuen, DePriest and freshman defender Kody Phillips (Opelika, Ala.) combined for a four-goal effort to give LaGrange an emphatic 6-0 win to start the season.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LaGrange sophomore goalkeeper Braeden Hayes (St. Augustine, Fla.) tallied two saves on the day for the Panthers.
- MUW goalkeeper Kenneth Starr finished with seven stops in net for the Owls.
- Total shots on goal were 16-2 in favor of LaGrange.
