LAGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College men's tennis team suffered their first loss of the spring season against the visiting Mississippi University for Women in non-conference action on Friday afternoon at Greer Tennis Courts in LaGrange, Georgia.

Senior Michael Strydom (Brits, South Africa) and sophomore Sophomore Yoni Falla (Guadeloupe) were defeated by Jorge Ortiz and Sandro Giangregorio in a 6-0 shutout.

Freshman Caleb Taff (Douglasville, Ga.) and sophomore James Willingham III (Waycross, Ga.) were etched out by Juan Garcia and Marcos Fernandez in 6-3 fashion.

Senior Kyle Moore (Sharpsburg, Ga.) and senior Nic Bodin (Atlanta, Ga.) were dispatched by the tandem of Alvaro Bardales (Tacna, Peru) and Ian Costabel.

Strydom was taken down by Ortiz 2-6 and 3-6.

Falla was bested by Giangregorio 0-6 and 4-6.

Taff fell short against Garcia 0-6 and 1-6.

Willingham was defeated by Fernandez, 2-6 and 1-6.

Moore was victorious over Costabel as he took his tilt 6-0 and 6-1.

Bodin fought valiantly but fell just short in his match with Jonathan Mitchell (Batesville, Miss.), losing (6-2), 4-6 and 6-10.
