LAGRANGE, Ga. – Sophomore defensive lineman Zymarion Hudson (Cordele, Ga.) of the LaGrange College football team has been named the USA South Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 11, 2026, in an announcement by the conference on Monday.

The Marketing & Entrepreneurship major set a new single-game program record for the Panthers with four sacks in a 35-0 shutout of USA South rival Methodist last week. He also tied the single-game LaGrange record with five total unassisted tackles-for-loss, which pushed back the Monarch offense 32 yards.

At press time, Hudson leads the Panthers and the USA South with 6.5 sacks on the season, ranking him seventh in the nation with 1.3 sacks per game through five games. He also ranks second in the nation in tackles-for-a-loss per game at 2.30.

LaGrange is back on the field next Saturday when they travel to Brevard College for a 1:00 p.m. game in a much-anticipated contest between two of the USA South's best programs.
