LaGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College men's tennis team picked up their second win of the fall season at home against the Mississippi University for Women in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon at Greer Tennis Courts in LaGrange, Georgia.

senior Michael Strydom (Brits, South Africa) and sophomore James Willingham (Waycross, Ga.) defeated Josh Cooper and Alvaro Bardales 6-4.

senior Nic Bodin (Atlanta, Ga.) and junior Connor Golden (Douglasville, Ga.) etched out a victory over Tyler Bailey and Paul Gaines 6-4.

senior Kyle Moore (Sharpsburg, Ga.) and freshman Caleb Taff (Douglasville, Ga.) were unfortunately dispatched by Dylan Barber and Jonathan Mitchell in a 3-6 loss.
SINGLES

Sophomore Yoni Falla (Guadeloupe) fell just short in his singles match against Bardales, losing the first set 2-6 and the second 3-6.

Strydom dropped his single matchup as well, losing both sets to Cooper 3-6 and 4-6.

Taff turned the tide for LC, picking a big win over Bailey in respective 6-1 set victories.

Willingham made short work of Gaines, besting him 7-5 and 6-2.

Bodin and Barber engaged in a tight duel, in which the Red and Black earned a favorable result in a 6-3 and 7-5 win.

Moore dominated his matchup with Mitchell, taking his opponent down in back-to-back 6-0 shutouts.

LaGrange is back on the court on Oct. 4 when they travel to battle the Owls in a rematch in Columbus, Miss.
