LAGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College football team play host to Centre College on Saturday at Callaway Stadium in LaGrange, with the kickoff coming at 1:00 p.m. The Panthers have gone 1-1 in their first two weeks of the season, winning 36-14 at Point University to open their season before a 48-0 setback to nationally ranked Berry College in their home opener.

LaGrange junior quarterback Henry Brodnax (Newnan, Ga.) has thrown for 451 yards through two games this season, throwing three touchdowns off of 33 completions.

Freshman wide receiver Dami'on Thompson (Atlanta, Ga.) has been a revelation, catching six passes for 175 yards and one touchdown and earning USA South Offensive Rookie of the Week honors for the week ending September 7^th. At press time, Thompson ranks 14^th in the nation in yards per reception.

Sophomore linebacker Ched Smith (Macon, Ga.), last year's USA South Defensive Rookie of the Year, has racked up ten total tackles with two quarterback hurries to lead the defense.

Senior kicker Landon Eaker (Ringgold, Ga.) has been perfect thus far, making all three field goal attempts and all three extra points.

Centre also enters the weekend with a 1-1 record, winning 23-15 against Hanover before falling 35-14 to DePauw.

The Colonels are led by senior quarterback Jack Gohmann (Lexington, Ky.) who has thrown for 531 yards and four touchdowns. Senior wide receiver Blake Busson (Lexington, Ky.) has accounted for two of those scores to go along with 199 receiving yards.

Junior defensive back Ollie Carter (Jasper, Tenn.) leads the Colonels defense with ten tackles.

General admission tickets are $10 at Callaway Stadium, with a $5 rate for veterans of the military and first responders. Admission is free to children under twelve. LaGrange students, faculty and staff with an LC I.D. also receive free admission, along with their guests.
