Claire Chamberlain threw a no-hitter to lead LaGrange to a Senior Day sweep of Agnes Scott at the LC Sofball Complex on Saturday. Seniors

LaGrange (15-17, 5-5 CCS) won the first game 7-0 behind Chamberlain's pitching gem. In game two,  Veres drove in four runs as the Panthers completed the sweep with an 8-1 win.
Game 1: Chamberlain came within one out of a perfect game in silencing Agnes Scott's bats. She set down the first 17 batters before Bella Leonardi reached on an error with two out in the sixth inning. Chamberlain got the final out of the inning, then breezed through the seventh inning to complete the no-hitter. She struck out two in the game and threw only 81 pitches.
Chamberlain and Agnes Scott's Bryn Greenwood were hooked in a pitcher's duel through four scoreless innings. The Panthers broke up the duel with a five-run fifth inning.
Vanhoose led off the inning with a double and scored one out later on
Jaselyn Couch's base hit up the middle. Couch came home on Veres' two-out RBI single. Gonzalez reached on an error by the Scotties to keep the inning going.
Cannon Ramsey followed with a two-run double, then scored on
Kayla Helms' infield hit for a 5-0 lead.
The Panthers tacked on two more runs in the sixth inning. Couch had an RBI double, while Veres added a run-scoring single for the 7-0 final score.
Couch led LC's 13-hit attack with three hits, including the double. Chamberlain, Veres, Ramsey, Helms, and Vanhoose each had two hits.
Game 2: The Panthers broke up a tight game with a six-run fourth inning to finish the sweep. LC took a slim 2-1 lead into the inning.
Ramsey walked and came around from first to score as Helms reached on an error. Couch drove in the next run with a single and
Lexi Mitchell came home as Chamberlain reached on a fielder's choice. With the bases loaded, Veres cleared the bases with a double to left center and a 8-1 lead.
Yeary gave up a first inning run, then settled down in her final three innings of work. She scattered seven hits in raising her season record to 8-4.
Maddie Chauvin threw three scoreless innings to close out the game and earn her first save of the season.
Up Next: The Panthers close out the home portion of their schedule Sunday with a CCS doubleheader against Piedmont. The first game begins at 12 p.m. with the second game to follow.
