GREENSBORO, N.C. - The LaGrange College football team won 49-20 at Greensboro College in USA South Athletic Conference action on Saturday at Pride Field in Greensboro, North Carolina.
THE BASICS
Score:                  LaGrange 49, Greensboro 20
Records:             Panthers 7-1, 5-0 USA South | Pride 1-7, 0-5 USA South
HOW IT HAPPENED
	- Leading 28-20 at halftime, the Panthers turned to LaGrange junior running back Michael Hays (Jacksonville, Fla.) to pull away, as their RB1 rushed for a 19-yard touchdown on the opening drive of the third quarter, then later in the quarter had a 27-yard rush with a penalty tacked on, setting up a first-and-goal from the ten. Four plays later Hays would punch it in, giving LC a commanding 43-20 lead as the defense allowed the Pride no breathing room.

	- With the win, the Panthers remain tied at 5-0 with Belhaven University at the top of the USA South standings. The two conference rivals are scheduled to clash next Saturday at Callaway Stadium with the championship on the line.
