LC Men's Soccer dropped the opening match of the season 3-2 to the Pensacola Christian Eagles (Aug. 31).
 
Game Details
Today's game against the Eagles was neck and neck from the very first whistle. In the 19th minute, PCC put the first points on the board but LC responded with a Lucas Duke goal. The game stayed tied at 1-1 going into the half. 

Similarly to the first half, neither team scored in the second until PCC snuck a shot past the Panther keeper in the 58th. Ten minutes later, Nick Griner crushed a shot to equalize the game at two apiece. The Eagles took a 3-2 lead in the 79th minute after a PCC forward set up an open shot with a nice pass.

Throughout the full 90 minutes LC was able to create opportunities but struggled to get it past the tricky Eagles goalkeeper. The Panthers finished with 18 shots to the Eagles 10 but PCC did just enough to hold on to win 3-2.
