This past week's CCS Pitcher of the Week,
Eduardo Peralta, started on the mound. In 50 innings pitched this season, the sophomore has posted a 3.60 ERA. During the first,
David Smigelski put the Panthers up 1-0 after he singled to right field for his first RBI of the series. The Hawks answered with a pair of RBIs to go up 3-1 through the first inning. LC cut the lead to 3-2 in the following inning on a Hawk's pitcher balk that brought home
Colby Zinser. Still in the top of the third,
Jackson McElvy hit an RBI single to equalize the game at 3-3. The game stayed tied until
Joe Ruth crushed a two-run homer to put the Panthers ahead 5-3. During the fifth, the Hawks scored three runs, reestablishing a tight 6-5 lead. In that inning, Peralta rotated out for
Caden Hare. Hare stayed in for just over one inning and then was replaced by
Jack Richards on the mound in the sixth. The Hawks would hold on to win 6-5.

Caden Hare came in during the fifth. In 1.1 innings pitched, gave up just two hits.Â
Senior
Jack Richards rotated in during the sixth. In two innings pitched, he did not allow a hit or run. He also had three strikeouts.
