Dalton Brooks made his return to the mound for game two of the CCS Championship. The last time Brooks played, he secured the 4-2 win over the Piedmont Lions (May 9). Through 17 innings pitched, Cash holds a 5.29 ERA. Despite the game being at MC, the Panthers were designated as the home team, which was determined by a pregame coin toss. The Scots were the first team to score, jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the first. During the fourth, MC scored another run to go up 2-0. Brooks rotated out for
Benjamin Epperley. The Scots added two more runs and Epperley would be relieved by
Nash Evans. LC scored their first points of game two on a RBI by
Rhett Mixon in the sixth. Still in that inning,
Joe Ruth hit a Panther home with a ground out RBI to bring the score to 4-2. During the top of the eighth, MC hit a home run, causing
Hunter Brooks to come in for Evans. Still in the eighth, MC hit another two runners in with an RBI double. Brooks rotated out for
Evan Jackson. The Scots would end the bottom of the eighth up 9-2.
Ethan Fry closed out the game for the Panthers.
