LaGrange, Ga. – LaGrange (0-1, 0-0 CCS) Men's Tennis gets beat by Birmingham-Southern (1-0) 9-0 in the season opener (Feb. 10).
In today's season opener, sophomore Michael Strydom played in two incredibly competitive matches but dropped both to Sam Tolbert 6-4 and 2-6. Sophomore Nic Bodin and sophomore Kyle Moore were edged on 6-1 and 6-0 in their first singles of the season. Freshman Jordan Grisigen and freshman Conner Golden both lost their opening matches as Panthers 0-6. Freshman Samuel Whitt fell 6-1 in both matches to Tom Smith. Jordan Grisigen and Michael Strydom found the most success in today's doubles for the young Panther squad. The two lost a competitive match 8-3 to sophomore Ryan King and senior Tom Smith. Samuel Whitt and Nic Bodin dropped their opening doubles match 8-2 to junior Sam Tolbert and junior Tanner DeBardelaben. Kyle Moore and Samuel Whitt were edged out 8-1 to senior Eli Ingleson and senior Reed Martinson.
