Match Details
The Scotties came out with a chip on their shoulder to open the first set, as they jumped out to an early 10-4 lead. Unfazed by the initial punch, the Panthers continued to stick around, eventually jumping in front 20-18 late in the opening frame. A pair of Agnes Scott attacking errors and timely kills from
Murphy Boyett secured the set win as LC took the 1-0 lead in come-from-behind fashion.
LaGrange dominated the second stanza from start to finish with kills from six different Panthers, who were able to capitalize on mounting mistakes from the Scotties en route to a 25-14 win to double their match lead to 2-0.
With the chance to seal the match victory and cap off a momentous season, the Panthers answered the bell massively by jumping to an 11-4 lead to begin the third set. Despite multiple two-point bursts from the Scotties, LC continued to keep their foot on the gas as they enjoyed a 21-11 lead late.
