Panthers tally first draw of the season against MGA

Box Score The LC Men's Soccer Team 4-9-1 walked away with a hard-fought draw Sunday (Oct. 20) against the Middle Georgia State University Knights (4-7-5) in Cochran, Ga in a deadlocked 2-2 final.

Match Details
The Panthers took advantage of a disastrous start for the hosts, being gifted an early 1-0 lead thanks to an own-goal from the Knights after just four minutes had eclipsed in the contest. MGA was able to right the ship three minutes later, however, with a goal from Chase Giron to knot things up at one-apiece. LC was able to draw a critical penalty kick in the 29th minute, which Kenny Pameni promptly netted to regain the lead for the visiting Panthers who now enjoyed a 2-1 edge.

With 45 minutes left to play, it seemed the Panthers were cruising towards being just the fourth team all season to best the MGA Knights on their home field. Unfortunately, the home squad had other plans, cranking up the offensive firepower with nine shots (three on goal) to put LC on their heels. The surge paid off early as they tied the match 2-2 in the 47th minute with a goal from Adrian Molitor. LaGrange was well up to the task, as William Perry, Robel Teshome and Dylan Bailey each took a shot to try and break the tie, but sadly could not find the back of the net as the clock ran out on both teams to conclude the drawn match.

Top Panther Performers
Pameni earned his second goal of the season with the Panthers, netting the team's only true goal on the afternoon.

Sawyer Williams finished the afternoon with an earnest three-save performance in net, facing five shots total in the contest.
