The LaGrange College Volleyball Team (5-15) is set to host Huntingdon College (8-16) on Wednesday (Oct. 16) in a rematch from earlier this season which saw the Hawks squeak out a come-from-behind 3-2 victory.
The Matchup
The Panthers are coming off a conference tri-match this past weekend (Oct. 12) in which they earned a split result, dropping the first match to Maryville College then finishing strong with a 3-1 rout over Agnes Scott. LaGrange's last win over the Hawks came back in 2017, led by a 12-kill performance from Panther great Samantha James in a 3-1 final at Richter Gym. They will be looking to repeat history Wednesday and secure an elusive victory over the visiting HC.
As for Huntingdon, an up and down season has them in a similar position where every win is of tremendous value. Like the Panthers, they also come in with a win-streak of only a single game as they look to create some late-season traction. Their 2-6 road record will surely clash against LC's winning home record of 4-3 as both teams look to improve their season.
Players to Watch
Murphy Boyett has been one of the Panthers top performers in the past three contests, with 17 kills and six digs in that span.
The Hawks key contributor offensively has been senior MH Izzy Valldeperas, who has 183 kills and 96 digs on the season.
Where to Watch
The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. in Richter Gym. For links to stream the match and live stats
