ATLANTA, Ga. - LaGrange dropped its first two matches of the Stormy Petrel Classic on Friday. The Panthers (0-5) lost 3-1 to Millsaps and 3-0 to tournament host Oglethorpe.

Millsaps (4-2) topped LC 25-15, 24-26, 25-12, and 25-12. The Panthers staved off set point in the second set. Oglethorpe committed an attack error to tie the set at 24. Jharia Harris, who a team-high nine kills in the match, put LC up 25-24 off an assist from Kirsten Boyd. Boyd put down the game winner off a set by Maggie Vo to give LC the set. Boyd had seven kills, 14 assists, and 17 digs in the match. Ariel Modeste added six kills and four total blocks. Bre Duvault had a team-best 20 digs.

Oglethorpe swept the Panthers 25-13, 25-10, and 25-16. Journey Oden led the team with six kills, while Modeste had five.

The Panthers face Averett in their final match of the tournament Saturday at 12 p.m.
