Berea, Ky. – The LaGrange College men's tennis team went 24-0 in doubles games and 80-3 in singles during a 9-0 triumph at Berea Saturday.
Eight different Panthers factored into the win, as LC improved to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the USA South. Senior Caleb Edde clinched the match, winning, 6-0, 6-2, at the top singles slot. Senior Kyle Kelley, sophomore Al Robertson, senior Trevor McLemore, sophomore Luke Griffin and Edde went 2-0 on the day.
During doubles action, Kelley and Robertson represented the Panthers at the top slot. Edde and senior Clint Brewer competed at the second flight, while McLemore and Griffin suited up at the third position. LaGrange won all three matches, 8-0.
On the singles side, Kelley, Robertson, junior Josh Tullier and senior Caleb Tyler won their matches, 6-0, 6-0. McLemore prevailed at fourth singles, 6-1, 6-0, and Griffin did not lose a game in an 8-0 triumph during an exhibition match.
The Panthers will be back in action on Saturday, March 20, at 2 p.m. against Huntingdon in Montgomery, Alabama.
