WAVELAND, Miss. - The LaGrange beach volleyball team opened its inaugural season at the Battle of the Bay tournament. The Panthers went 0-3 in the tournament, losing by scores of 5-0 to Huntingdon, William Carey, and Spring Hill.

"This weekend was an impactful learning experience for our team. We matched up against three seasoned teams," said Coach Madison Machurik. "Each pair learned how to play through the toughness of strong winds. The weekend has helped advance our play and gain knowledge of what we need to focus on in practice before our home match debut March 6 and 7."
