LaGrange closed out the 2014 season with a 44-28 Senior Day win over Ferrum at Callaway Stadium on Saturday. The Panthers finished the season 5-5, including a 3-5 mark in USA South play.

The Panthers recognized 18 seniors before the game, then overcame a sluggish first half to down their visiting counterparts from Virginia. Senior quarterback Graham Craig and fellow senior wide receiver Griffin Roelle led the Panthers. 

Craig threw for a season-high 434 yards and tied his own record of five touchdown passes in a game for the third time. He threw for 276 yards and three touchdowns in the third quarter alone. Craig finished his career tied with Drew Carter with 56 touchdown passes.

Roelle had six receptions for 158 yards and a touchdown. He turned his final collegiate catch into a 66-yard touchdown play for the Panthers' final score, breaking the school career touchdown reception mark of 16 in the process. 

The Panthers led 10-7 at halftime. Josh Hardrick scored on a 14-yard pass from Craig in the second quarter to put the Panthers ahead to stay.

The Panthers scored on their first four drives in the second half to open up a 38-14 lead. Craig had touchdown passes of 17 and 49 yards to Michael Gray sandwiched around a short 4-yard toss to Marsalis Jackson.

Lord Smith ran in the fourth touchdown from 8 yards out. The touchdown was set up by the longest pass play of the season for the Panthers; as Josh Hardrick went 70 yards to the Ferrum 8. Hardrick finished the game with a career-high 130 yards receiving on four catches.

Freshman T.J. Bulock had two interceptions to tie Brandon Penn's single-season record of four set last season. Scott Chewning, Larry Murdock, Garrett Wallace and Shaun Nichols all had five tackles on defense for the Panthers.
