DEMOREST, Ga. - LaGrange battled Piedmont in a USA South match Wednesday. The host Lady Lions (15-8, 7-2 USA South) downed the Panthers (11-14, 3-6 USA South) 3-0.

The match was hard fought, with Piedmont taking the sets by scores of 25-22, 25-16, and 26-24. Freshman Emily Arnold led the Panthers in the match with seven kills.

Freshman Sarah Gore tied for match honors with 17 assists, while sophomore Sterling Ancrum had seven digs.

The Panthers host Ferrum and Averett in USA South matches Saturday in Richter Gym at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
