Cross Country: Sarah Bearden earns NCAA Division III Women's All-Academic honors

Sophomore Sarah Bearden was named to the 2015 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Women's All-Academic Team. She is the first LaGrange cross country runner to earn the honor.  

Bearden was one of only two from the USA South to be on the team, and one of only 28 females from the South/Southeast regional.  To earn USTFCCCA All-Academic honors a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and finish in the top 25 percent at their respective regional.

Bearden was selected as the 2015 USA South Women's Runner of the Year. She won the conference's championship meet to earn a spot on the All-Conference team as well. She was the first LaGrange runner to win the USA South runner of the year award and individual championship.
