Women's Tennis: Agnes Scott edges Panthers 5-4 in hard fought USA South match

Visiting Agnes Scott edged LaGrange 5-4 in a USA South match Friday. The Scotties (6-11, 4-3) claimed the West Divsion's final tournament berth, while eliminating the Panthers (9-9, 3-4).

Agnes Scott took two of the three doubles matches. Jenna Eppes and Liz Minick won for LC at #1 doubles. Eppes at #1 singles, Nicole Phillips at #4 singles, and Alexandra Chenowith at #6 singles helped pull the Panthers even. The match was decided at #5 singles where Ali Herring lost a close match to Camille Wilson by scores of 7-5, 7-5.

The Panthers play at Huntingdon on Sunday.
