Rachael Thomas had a record tying career-night as LaGrange routed visiting Huntingdon 21-4 in a USA South game Tuesday. The Panthers are now 4-7 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
Thomas tied the school single-game record with a career-high eight goals and now has 27 for the seaon. She also had a game-high six draw controls. Madeline LaCavera added seven goals, giving her a team-leading 42 on the year. She becomes the third Panther in the program's history to have more than 40 goals in a season. LaCavara needs seven goals over the last five regular season games to break Kelsey Griffin's mark of 48 set in 2013. Brie Shepler finished with four goals and three assists, while Eva Tallent had two goals. Sara Gilbrook had a team-high five ground balls and four caused turnovers.
The Panthers play at USA South foes Averett on Saturday and Ferrum on Sunday.
