Madeline LaCavara reached a career milestone in LaGrange's 25-17 USA South loss to visiting Greensboro on Saturday.
LaCavara had a team-high six goals in the game. Her final one with 7:54 left in the game was her 100th career goal. LaCavara becomes the second Panther, along with Kelsey Griffin to reach the milestone. She leads the team and is third in the conference with 32 goals.
LC trailed 14-9 in the second half before reeling off five straight goals to tie the game. Rachel Thomas' goal with 19:37 left was the equalizer. Greensboro answered with four straight goals of its own to take the lead for good. Thomas, Brie Shepler, and Davida White all had three goals in the game. The 42 combined goals were the most in a game in the program's history.
The Panthers host future USA South member Pfieffer on Sunday at 2 p.m.
