Madeline LaCavera and Eva Tallent tied and set school game records as LaGrange routed Salem 24-1 in a USA South game Saturday. The Panthers evened their conference mark at 1-1, while improving to 3-2 on the season. Salem slipped to 0-3 and 0-2 in conference play.
LaCavera tied Alexis Dillard's school record of eight goals, set during the 2014 season. The senior leads the USA South with 22 goals this season. Tallent had five assists to break Kelsey Griffin's record of four set during the 2013 season. Davida White had five goals to up her season total to 16, good for fifth in the conference. Tallent, Brie Shepler, Megan French, Kylie Reynolds, and Lauren Sanders all had two goals. Sarah Gilbrook had a goal and a team-best five ground balls.
The 23-goal margin of victory was the Panthers' largest in a USA South game. LC, led by Tallent, set a new school record with 12 assists in the game.
The Panthers play at Piedmont in a USA South contest Wednesday.
