Lacrosse: Second half rally comes up short for Panthers against Ferrum

FERRUM, Va. - LaGrange's second half rally came up short as Ferrum held on for a 14-11 USA South win Sunday.

The Panthers (0-7, 0-2 USA South) trailed Ferrum (2-4, 1-1 USA South) 10-5 at halftime. They outscored their Panther counterparts 6-4 in the second half.

Madeline LaCavera had four goals and Rachael Thomas added three for the Panthers. Sydney Garmany had two goals, while Kylie Reynolds and Lydia Subat each had one.

Thomas had a team-high five draw controls. Goalkeeper Kallie Brook had seven saves and groundballs each. The Panthers finished the game with a 14-13 edge in draw controls. Both teams finished with 26 groundballs. 

The Panthers play at Piedmont in a USA South game Wednesday.
