LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Covenant pulled away in the second half for a 79-65 USA South win over LaGrange on Tuesday. The Panthers (7-9, 1-6 USA South) lost to the Scots (7-11, 3-6 USA South) for the second time this season.

"Give Covenant credit, they really shot the ball well tonight," said Coach Lee Buchanan. "I thought our effort was good but we couldn't seem to get big stops and put runs together offensively. We have to stay positive as hard as that may seem to be right now. We need to keep working and get everyone playing well on the same night on both ends of the court."

Lauren Johnson led LC with 21 points. Marilauren Farr had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds. Riley Chlupacek hit five 3-pointers to account for her 15 points.

Three-point shooting was the difference in the game. Emma Grimes had a game-high 32 points for Covenant, making 10-of-13 from 3-point range. The Scots made 14-of-27 shooting 3s in the game. The Panthers were 9-of-25 from 3-point range.
