Men's Tennis: Panthers celebrate Senior Day with 7-2 win over Maryville

The LaGrange men's tennis team celebrated Senior Day with a 7-2 victory over visiting Maryville on Saturday. The Panthers are now 11-4 overall and 5-2 in conference play. The 11 wins are the most by an LC men's team under Coach Matt Donnett and the five conference wins match the 2014 and 2015 teams.

The team's lone senior, Mitchell Corley, was recognized before the match. Corley has been a four-year letterman for the Panthers and was a USA South West Division first team selection as a junior. He was a USA South All-Conference second team as a sophomore.

John Mitchell Benton clinched the match at #4 singles defeating Trevor Perry 6-0 and 6-2. He and Caleb Edde lead the team with 10 singles wins each for the 2017-18 season.

The Panthers close out their home schedule Sunday against Berea in a USA South match.
