Men's Tennis: Piedmont ends Panthers' win streak with 5-4 win

DEMOREST, Ga. - The LaGrange men's tennis team was edged 5-4 by Piedmont in a USA South match Wednesday. The loss snapped the Panthers' win streak at five, leaving them 8-3 overall and 4-2 in conference play. LC had won the first meeting with the Lions 5-4 on March 3.

Piedmont (6-4, 4-1 USA South) won all three doubles matches. The Panthers lost 8-6 at #2 and 9-8 in a tiebreaker at #3. LC would win four of the six singles matches. The Lions clinched the match at #6 singles with Harrison LaBollita's win over Trevor McLemore. Carlos Valdez's win at #5 singles closed out the match for the 5-4 final.

The Panthers travel to Birmingham, Alabama to face Birmingham-Southern and Centenary (La.) on Saturday.
