Men's Soccer: Panthers fall 4-1 to Greensboro in USA South opener

Visiting Greensboro downed LaGrange 4-1 on Saturday in a USA South contest. The Panthers are now 2-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play. The Pride improved to 4-3 and 2-0.

Greensboro led 2-0 at halftime on goals by Carlos Barragan and Gerardo Peraza. The Panthers cut the lead in half 12 minutes into the second half.

Playing a man down, LC took advantage of a hand ball in the box against the Pride. Matthew Fritts put in the penalty kick to make it 2-1.

The Pride got insurance goals from Jared Heller and Torian Bullock with the last goal coming with just seven seconds left.

The Panthers host William Peace on Sunday at 1 p.m. in a USA South game.
