Men's Basketball: William Peace ends Panthers' winning streak at five games

RALEIGH, N.C. - William Peace ended LaGrange's five-game winning streak with a 109-86 victory over the Panthers on Sunday. The Panthers finished the regular season 15-10 and 8-6 in the USA South.

LaGrange and William Peace (15-10, 8-6 USA South) will meet in the first round of the USA South Tournament on Thursday at Averett University in Danville, Va. Game time is 5 p.m.

The Panthers placed six players in double figures Sunday. Alex Bonner led the way with 18 points. Travis Thompson and Drew Vanderbrook had 12 points each, while Jamison McCray and Michael McCauley each had 11. Elijah Adedoyin had 10 points.

William Pace led 57-29 at halftime. The Panthers outscored the Pacers 57-52 in the second half.
