Men's Basketball: 2016-17 Panther newcomers announced

Grant Hasson (Sugar Hill, Ga.) - Grant is a 6-0 freshman guard who plays the wing position. He is a good shooter and goes all out on the court. Grant possesses a great basketball I.Q. and work ethic. He will continue to improve his offensive skills to become a complete player for the Panthers. Grant played at Heritage Academy and has not declared his major. 

Adrian King (Morrow, Ga.) - Adrian is a 6-7 freshman post player who has a physical presence inside the paint. He has the potential to be a solid post player for the Panthers because of his ability to block shots and rebound. Adrian is always working to improve his offensive skills and has a soft touch around the rim to go with a good midrange jump shot. Adrian played high school basketball at Elite Scholars Academy and is pursuing a degree in business.

 Armon Prophet (Columbus, Ga.) - Armon is a 6-1 freshman guard with the versatility to play all three wing positions. He can push the ball up the floor; creating shots for himself and for his teammates. Armon has tremendous ability for his size as a defender and rebounder. He is working hard on improving his shooting skills to become a complete player for the Panthers.  Armon played at St. Anne Pacelli Catholic School, where he was a teammate of fellow freshmen Tre'Vione Sudberry and Triston Wells. The trio led the team to a 17-10 record and an Elite 8 appearance in the state playoffs. Armon averaged 14.5 points per game and 9.5 assists per game and is pursuing a degree in exercise science.

Henry Ruff (Woodstock, Ga.) - Henry is a 6-1 freshman guard who can play both wing positions. He is a strong, physical guard with a good shot and the ability to take his defender off the dribble. Henry can finish well at the rim and has the talent to guard multiple positions because of his strength. He is a coach's dream to work with and will do anything it takes for the team to win. Henry was a sharpshooting guard at Woodstock High School and is pursuing a degree in exercise science. 

Tre'Vione Sudberry (Columbus, Ga.) -
Tre is a 6-0 freshman guard who can play all three wing positions. He is a strong ball handler with deceptive quickness, allowing him to take anyone off the dribble and finish. Tre can score from anywhere on the court and can guard multiple positions. Tre's high basketball I.Q. be useful to the Panthers in the future. He played at St. Anne Pacelli Catholic School, where he was a teammate of fellow freshmen Armon Prophet and Triston Wells. He averaged a team-high 22.8 points per game. Tre is pursuing a degree in exercise science.
 
Triston Wells (Columbus, Ga.) - Triston is a freshman 6-0 guard who can play both wing positions. He is a scrappy guard who can shoot from anywhere on the court. Triston has the ability to shoot from long range, with a deceptively quick first step to get in the paint to score or set up his teammates. Triston's ability to stretch the floor will serve him well during his Panther career. Triston, along with fellow freshmen Armon Prophet and Tre'Vione Sudberry played at St. Anne Pacelli Catholic School.  He averaged 17.1 points per game and shot 60 percent from the 3-point line. Triston is pursuing a degree in exercise science.
