Junior guard Justyn Olson is the USA South Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 21. Olson is the second LaGrange player to get the weekly honor this season. Senior Mark Wagner was the player of the week for the week ending Nov. 29.
Olson averaged 32.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 2.0 assists per game as the Panthers posted a 2-0 record against USA South rivals last week. In a 97-87 overtime win over Huntingdon, Olson had a career high 36 points, six rebounds, six steals, three assists and one block. Olson capped his week with a game-high 28 points, to go with six rebounds, two steals and one assist in the Panthers' 96-90 win at Piedmont. In the two games, Olson had 61.8 shooting percentage, and was 19-of-22 at the free throw line.
Olson leads the Panthers and is second in the USA South conference in scoring, averaging 16.5 points per game. He leads the team and the conference with 54 steals.
