Golf: Logan Lanier moves up to No. 1 in Golfstat Division III player rankings

Senior Logan Lanier has moved up to No. 1 in the latest Golfstat Division III player rankings. Lanier becomes the third Panther to be top-ranked, joining Michael Lemmo and Hudson Keener.

Lanier leads the Panthers and is tied for first in the USA South conference with a 71.2 scoring average. In five tournaments during the 2016-17 season, Lanier has four top 10 finishes. He tied for the individual title at the Royal Lake/Oglethorpe Fall Invitational.

In his most recent tournament, Lanier tied for third with fellow senior Osborn Theam at the Callaway Gardens Intercollegiate Tournament. Theam moved up to No. 10 in the Golfstat rankings. LaGrange and top-ranked Huntingdon are the only teams to have two golfers each ranked in the top 10.

The Panther golf team will play in the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational on March 17-19. LC is the two-time defending champion in the tournament.
